Keep Learning - Self Directed Professional Development

            Time by time is passed, but technology and education is always developed. As we know that in this modern era, we can learn from many resources in everywhere and anytime. Many people have learned from academic education, but those knowledge is not enough. Maybe we have been finished our academic education since ten years ago, but does those knowledge is still enough in this modern era
which many things have changed? Knowledge is not come only from academic education, but also experience, sharing with experienced people, etc. So we have to always keep on learning and refresh our knowledge.
            Knowledge is always developed, automatically teacher have to always develop and expand their knowledge. In this modern era, students in this era is not as same as with students in ten years ago.They are different, they have gadgets and technology in their life. If teacher in this era just teach like in the traditional teaching, the students will feel bored and don't want to listen because they have something that more interesting than it. Yes, It's their gadget. So from one of the previous sample of activity, we can learn that we have to keep on learning to refresh our knowledge and to be more creative in teaching.

         There are many ways to keep learning without worrying about many assignments, time and distance, such as :
1. Crowd learning
           It's like a learning place where you can learn together with other people who also want to learn a same thing with you. You can also use your social media such as instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp, Line, etc. From there you will find many communities which suitable with you and sure you can learn from there. If you want to know how to find them just click on your browser and type what communities that you are looking for.
          Here is the example of TEFL Teacher group in the Facebook. We can share many informations that related with TEFL in this group.

2. Online Seminar
    You can try to join some online seminars from British Council Webinars, ASCD Webinars, TED, EdWeb, etc.

3. Online course
     There are many online tools that help you to learn, such as coursera, Microsoft Educator Network, MOOC-Ed (Massive Open Online Courses for Educators), etc

4. Many others , you can find so many resources and place where you want to learn by your selves because now, The world is on your hand.
